CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A 23-year-old relative was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder after three people were found dead inside a house Thursday night. The suspect, only identified as a Asian man, was detained at the start of the murder investigation December 26. The suspect is not only related to all three murder victims, but also resided at the location. His exact relation to the victims is not being disclosed at this time, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. While the Sheriff’s Department did not disclose how the victims died, Los Angeles news stations are reporting that the victims were stabbed to death. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner will reveal the cause of death and the victims’ identities. The deaths of two females and one male were discovered in the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue around 6:48 p.m. December 26. The suspect allegedly was detained after fleeing the scene in a vehicle which crashed. Drivers reported a pedestrian walking with traffic between the number five lane in the shoulder around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 19. No description of the pedestrian has been given. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has yet to respond. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A semi hauling a 40,000-pound trailer overturned and possibly caused several vehicles to crash into it on the east I-10 freeway just east of the 605 freeway.
The California Highway Patrol is holding all lanes of the eastbound side while firefighters work to treat patients, two of which were pulled after being trapped in a vehicle. The northbound 605 transition to the east I-10 is also being held. All eastbound traffic is being diverted to the south 605, according to the California Highway Patrol. The investigation is taking place in the 3400 block of Cosbey Avenue May 31. Baldwin Park Police officers responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch records show that firefighters were dispatched at 1:39 p.m. to a traffic collision at the location. Images from the scene show officers seemingly focused on a dark-green-colored SUV. It is not completely clear if the fatality resulted from a traffic collision. CHP traffic logs indicate that someone was performing chest compressions on the victim described as an elderly woman. Both the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Firefighters were dispatched to the offramp just after 11 a.m. April 19. BALDWIN PARK - A man reportedly wounded by gunfire later died after being hospitalized Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. First responders were called around 8:20 a.m. to the 3800 block of Puente Ave., March 19. The victim, described only as a male adult, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. It is not yet clear if a suspect has been identified, or if a suspect is in custody yet. The fire is burning at 13443 Dalewood Street. Fire initially was heavily affecting two units on the property, but that was before firefighters at the scene requested a third-alarm response for additional personnel, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic. There is a heavy fire presence, as well as a police presence in the area. Firefighters have asked the California highway patrol to close off the Baldwin Park Boulevard offramp from the eastbound I-10 freeway. Homicide detectives believe a woman pulled the trigger in the shooting that occurred in the 3300 block of Athol Street around 2:05 p.m. July 23, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The victims were declared dead at the scene. There was no description given for the suspect. BALDWIN PARK - One person is dead in a multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound I-10 freeway at Francisquito Avenue Sunday, a CHP officer reported. The crash occurred near the Francisquito Avenue off ramp around 1:43 p.m. The No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes are closed until possibly 3:30 p.m. The HOV is open, according to officer Stephan Brandt of the California Highway Patrol Traffic Management Center. There may have been as many as seven patients injured in the crash, as well as a child with a head laceration. One man died at the scene of the shooting in the 3200 block of Baldwin Park Boulevard. A second man was transported to a local hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The condition of the hospitalized man was not disclosed. Rapper 50cent was scheduled for an appearance at JNJ Liquor, 3216 Baldwin Park Blvd., from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., likely to promote a line of champagne and or cognac. It is unclear if the shooting has any connection. Police responded to the shooting at 6:19 p.m.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 6:21 p.m. At 6:32 p.m. a second victim was found in the 3300 Block of Maine Avenue, according to Dispatch Supervisor Martin Rangel of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Homicide detectives have yet to offer a suspect description, or a possible motive for the shooting.
