CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - The 23-year-old suspect accused of stabbing to death family members the day after Christmas was officially charged with three counts of murder. Kyle Chester De Los Reyes Also faces special allegations of using a deadly weapon and committing multiple murders, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 8, Paul Sebastian Manangan, 16, and Rona Nate, 44, were named by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Manangan died from multiple sharp force injuries. Exams have yet to be scheduled for Narvaez and Nate. According to a gofundme fundraiser, Nate was the mother to Narvaez and Manangan. The deaths were discovered in the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue around 6:48 p.m. December 26. De Los Reyes is not only related to all three murder victims, but also resided at the location. He was detained after he crashed while allegedly fleeing the scene. De Los Reyes is being held without bail ahead of a scheduled appearance in Pomona Superior Court January 15, 2025. The suspect, only identified as a Asian man, was detained at the start of the murder investigation December 26. The suspect is not only related to all three murder victims, but also resided at the location. CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A man was shot dead in a Baldwin Park neighborhood early Monday morning. The gunshot victim, only described as an adult male, was found in the 13800 block of Kenmore Avenue. First responders were sent to the location around 2:50 a.m. October 14. The gunshot victim was assessed by Los Angeles County firefighters and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not publicly clear if a suspect has been identified or taken in the custody yet. Drivers reported a pedestrian walking with traffic between the number five lane in the shoulder around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 19. No description of the pedestrian has been given. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has yet to respond. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A full closure of the northbound 605 freeway just south of the I-10 freeway opened after fatal crash investigation Sunday morning.
First responders were called around 2 a.m., July 9 to a report of a sedan that overturned and landed on its roof. A motorcycle and possibly a black Mercedes-Benz were also involved in the crash, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The California Highway Patrol stopped all northbound lanes south of Valley Boulevard and diverted traffic to the west I-10 freeway. By 2:21 a.m., a request for an evidence tow was made. Two other people were hospitalized. By 6:16 a.m. Caltrans ended the full closure and northbound traffic was free to move again, according to the California Highway Patrol. It is not immediately clear what caused the crash. The California Highway Patrol is holding all lanes of the eastbound side while firefighters work to treat patients, two of which were pulled after being trapped in a vehicle. The northbound 605 transition to the east I-10 is also being held. All eastbound traffic is being diverted to the south 605, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was first reported at 4:46 a.m. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A man in his 50s was hospitalized Saturday after he jumped from the Baldwin Park Boulevard overpass and onto the eastbound I-10 off ramp, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
Dispatchers received a number of calls from drivers who saw the man standing on Baldwin Park Boulevard over the freeway just after 6 p.m. April 1. They were worried that he was going to jump. After a search, the man was found wounded on the eastbound offramp to Baldwin Park Boulevard, according to Sgt. Balzano of the Baldwin Park Police Department. The man suffered significant injuries. Balzano did not know what specific injuries the man received, only saying there was visible trauma. The man is reportedly in stable condition. The crash occurred in the area of Ramona Boulevard and Kenmore Avenue around 2:46 p.m. Monday, March 6. One person was transported to a trauma center, according to Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A white sedan struck a tree near Ramona Boulevard and Kenmore Avenue. The victim, who died at the scene was described as being 16 years old, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. All traffic lanes of Ramona Boulevard from Merced Avenue to Monterey Avenue are expected to be closed for a few more hours during the investigation. |
