Drivers reported a pedestrian walking with traffic between the number five lane in the shoulder around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 19. No description of the pedestrian has been given. First responders were called around 2 a.m., July 9 to a report of a sedan that overturned and landed on its roof. A motorcycle and possibly a black Mercedes-Benz were also involved in the crash, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The California Highway Patrol stopped all northbound lanes south of Valley Boulevard and diverted traffic to the west I-10 freeway. By 2:21 a.m., a request for an evidence tow was made. Two other people were hospitalized. By 6:16 a.m. Caltrans ended the full closure and northbound traffic was free to move again, according to the California Highway Patrol. It is not immediately clear what caused the crash. The California Highway Patrol is holding all lanes of the eastbound side while firefighters work to treat patients, two of which were pulled after being trapped in a vehicle. The northbound 605 transition to the east I-10 is also being held. All eastbound traffic is being diverted to the south 605, according to the California Highway Patrol. Dispatchers received a number of calls from drivers who saw the man standing on Baldwin Park Boulevard over the freeway just after 6 p.m. April 1. They were worried that he was going to jump. After a search, the man was found wounded on the eastbound offramp to Baldwin Park Boulevard, according to Sgt. Balzano of the Baldwin Park Police Department. The man suffered significant injuries. Balzano did not know what specific injuries the man received, only saying there was visible trauma. The man is reportedly in stable condition. The crash occurred in the area of Ramona Boulevard and Kenmore Avenue around 2:46 p.m. Monday, March 6. One person was transported to a trauma center, according to Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A white sedan struck a tree near Ramona Boulevard and Kenmore Avenue. The victim, who died at the scene was described as being 16 years old, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. All traffic lanes of Ramona Boulevard from Merced Avenue to Monterey Avenue are expected to be closed for a few more hours during the investigation. The investigation is taking place in the 3400 block of Cosbey Avenue May 31. Baldwin Park Police officers responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch records show that firefighters were dispatched at 1:39 p.m. to a traffic collision at the location. Images from the scene show officers seemingly focused on a dark-green-colored SUV. A dumpster fire reportedly spread to the building in the 4100 block of Maine Avenue February 27. Flames were seen through the roof. Three units in all were affected, according to Dispatch Supervisor Imogene McBride of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A second-alarm was requested at 2:38 a.m. At 3:25 a.m., a third-alarm was requested. The fire was knocked down at 4:17 a.m., McBride told SGV CityWatch. The building housed medical offices. The fire burned at a home in the 14700 block of Clark Street around 8:55 p.m. January 10. Both women were found unresponsive inside the home and were declared dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. One woman was only described as being in her 50s, the other in her 80s. Investigators are unclear if the fire was intentional. Arson investigators are determining the fire’s cause. The fire is burning at 13443 Dalewood Street. Fire initially was heavily affecting two units on the property, but that was before firefighters at the scene requested a third-alarm response for additional personnel, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic. There is a heavy fire presence, as well as a police presence in the area. Firefighters have asked the California highway patrol to close off the Baldwin Park Boulevard offramp from the eastbound I-10 freeway. |
