CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - The 23-year-old suspect accused of stabbing to death family members the day after Christmas was officially charged with three counts of murder. Kyle Chester De Los Reyes Also faces special allegations of using a deadly weapon and committing multiple murders, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 8, Paul Sebastian Manangan, 16, and Rona Nate, 44, were named by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Manangan died from multiple sharp force injuries. Exams have yet to be scheduled for Narvaez and Nate. According to a gofundme fundraiser, Nate was the mother to Narvaez and Manangan. The deaths were discovered in the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue around 6:48 p.m. December 26. De Los Reyes is not only related to all three murder victims, but also resided at the location. He was detained after he crashed while allegedly fleeing the scene. De Los Reyes is being held without bail ahead of a scheduled appearance in Pomona Superior Court January 15, 2025. The suspect, only identified as a Asian man, was detained at the start of the murder investigation December 26. The gunshot victim, only described as an adult male, was found in the 13800 block of Kenmore Avenue. First responders were sent to the location around 2:50 a.m. October 14. The gunshot victim was assessed by Los Angeles County firefighters and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not publicly clear if a suspect has been identified or taken in the custody yet. Two local gangs are accused of causing the damage over the past weekend at the park, 4100 Baldwin Park Blvd. The Baldwin Park Police Department Gang Unit were able to quickly identify suspects and they were taken into custody, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. “The Baldwin Park Police Department is committed to preserving community spaces and honoring our veterans, while also sending a clear message that such destructive behavior will not be tolerated in Baldwin Park, the police department said in a written statement. CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - Two victims were assaulted and severely injured during a July 3 carjacking. Four suspects were involved in the carjacking of a 2024 Lucid Air in the Raising Cane’s parking lot, 13602 Francisquito Ave. around 7:14 a.m., according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. Through witness statements and security video, investigators developed leads. The stolen Lucid Air was recovered in Beverly Hills, while two additional suspects were located and detained by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies in the Hollywood area. CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A Baldwin Park High School student said she was approached and followed by a strange man Thursday morning. The man ran up to the girl from behind and scared her. He then asked random questions about where she went to school. Fearing for her safety, the student walked away and the man fled the area, according to the Baldwin ParkPolice Department. The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. May 16. The man is described as Latino and in his 20s. He wore a black T-shirt, khaki pants, had hair in a bun and a mustache. The incident unfolded around 2:45 p.m. The girl stopped at Linda’s Burger, 4758 Maine Ave., to get food. While at the restaurant, the girl noticed a man, said to be in his mid to late 30s, continuously staring at her. The girl left the restaurant and saw the man began following her in his car, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. The man allegedly drove past her, stopped his vehicle and once she was near him he began asking her questions about her day, her name, her age and where she lived. The girl walked past him, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. The man drove past her a second time, parked, and again waited for her. “The minor pulled out her phone and made a call to a family member. Upon seeing this, the male adult drove away at a high rate of speed east on Olive Street to south on Phelan Avenue,” according to the Baldwin Park Police Department in a written statement. The suspect is described as having a light complexion, thin build and is between 35 to 40 years old. He wore a black hat, black, sunglasses, black shirt and black pants. The alert was sent out Wednesday, January 31. Students of Sierra Vista High School, Sierra Vista Middle School and Tracy Elementary report being approached as they walked to school. The vehicle is a gray four-door Honda Accord with license plate 5VXV977, according to the Baldwin Park Unified School District. A suspect description was not provided. It is unclear if students were able to obtain a description of the driver. “The District strongly encourages students and their families to take extra caution as they are going to and from school and be on the lookout. As a reminder, if you see something, say something,” according to the Baldwin Park Unified School District in a written statement.
