Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - Two suspects fled Friday after failing to take a woman’s purse in an attempted armed robbery. The crime was reported around 11:30 a.m. outside Chase Bank, 401 E. Valley Blvd. One suspect struggled to free the purse, which was recovered, according to Sgt. Carlos Donato of the Alhambra Police Department.
During a crime broadcast issued Friday, the suspects were described as Black men. Both were dressed in all black clothing. The armed suspect was the passenger, Alhambra Police said. The suspects entered a vehicle and fled from the scene, Donato said. The suspect vehicle was seen westbound on Valley Boulevard and out of sight. Alhambra police dispatchers received 9-1-1 calls in the 2200 block of Orange Grove Avenue. Officers learned of the two stabbing victims while one was already hospitalized and while one was being transported, according to Lt. Eddie Elezalde of the Alhambra Police Department. The assault occurred around 11 p.m. Both victims are in stable condition, Elezalde said.

ALHAMBRA - A security camera caught a man chucking a brick through a residential window January 1, police said.
The incident occurred around 2:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Stoneman Avenue. The suspect approached the home, threw the brick and fled after the window was destroyed. The suspect ran from the location in an unknown direction, Alhambra Police said in a written statement. Anyone who can identify the suspect is urged to call the Alhambra Police Tip Line at 626-308-4875.
