 Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - A train has hit a pedestrian who possibly jumped from the Almansor Street overpass onto the Metrolink railroad tracks. The California Highway Patrol has all lanes stopped until a flare pattern is set up, according to CHP traffic logs. Metrolink sent an alert via social media at 10:12 p.m. about a train stoppage between Cal State University Los Angeles and El Monte due to striking a person on the tracks.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene just after 10:33 p.m. July 31. Alhambra Police officers may possibly be taking over the investigation.  PHOTO/Alhambra Police. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - One person had to be cut from the twisted mess of an SUV left mangled at the end of a violent crash early Tuesday. The person extricated as well as a second person were both hospitalized. The two are believed to be tied to a shooting in Los Angeles that occurred minutes before the crash. The SUV collided at Valley Boulevard and Cabrillo just before 2 a.m. July 16, according to Alhambra Police.
Alhambra firefighters spent one hour cutting the trapped person from the SUV, Alhambra Police said. The circumstances regarding the shooting are unknown. |
