Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - An armed suspect fled without any cash in a nighttime robbery attempt, police said.
The attempted robbery was reported in the 1000 block of South Edith Avenue sometime after 10:40 p.m. The suspect approached the victim and demanded cash, Alhambra Police said. When the victim refused, the suspect punched the victim several times and fled emptyhanded. Police were unable to find the suspect. The crime occurred around 8:24 p.m. near 7-Eleven, 2150 S. Fremont. The suspects approached their victim east of the convenience store. No weapons were seen, Alhambra Police said in a crime broadcast. The first suspect is a male Hispanic, 18 to 20 years old. He wore a black hoodie. The second suspect is a male Hispanic 18 to 20 years old. He wore a white t-shirt. The victim could not provide a description for three other suspects. All five suspects fled eastbound on Montezuma towards Grenada Park, 2000 W. Hellman Ave. |
