ALHAMBRA - A likely wind-driven fire destroyed at least two garages in the 300 blo of South Hidalgo Avenue Monday afternoon.

The three-alarm fire sparked in a palm tree on Hidalgo Avenue around 5:21 p.m. Embers carried by the winds spread to the roof of a nearby structure, igniting and destroying the garages.

No injuries were reported. There was no immediate word on the fire’s cause.
