Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - Shots were fired after two armed suspects fled a robbery at a restaurant Tuesday night. No injuries were reported after one suspect opened fire at a robbery victim who gave chase, according to Alhambra Police Commander Sean Heckers. Police were called to the restaurant in the 1200 block of West Valley Boulevard near South Atlantic Boulevard December 3 around 7:43 p.m. Cash from the restaurant and possibly some property from the restaurant’s patrons were taken. Police are still investigating who exactly was robbed, Heckers said. “There was some type of witness who saw people flee the area and there were some shots fired toward the victim that was following [the suspects],” Heckers said.
According to Alhambra Police radio traffic, officers located a weapon, possibly a pellet gun, in the 1200 block of South Marguerita Avenue, as well as some shell casings in the area. The suspects are males, possibly white or Hispanic, in their 20s or 30s. An Alhambra Police crime broadcast further described one suspect as wearing a blue jacket, black pants, a black and blue baseball hat and heavyset. He carried a black handgun. A second suspect wore a grey sweater, yellow construction jacket, grey sweatpants and a dark hat. He also carried a dark handgun. The suspects fled in an older-model white SUV. Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to call Alhambra Police Detective Sergeant Dany Fuentes at 626-570-5176. |
