The collision occurred around 8:07 p.m. at Cedar Avenue and Lower Azusa Road. Preliminarily, the Jeep was east on Lower Azusa Road and the motorcycle was westbound. Both vehicles collided head-on, according to Lt. Pete Rasic of the El Monte Police Department. The Jeep sustained major damage. The Ducati is a total loss, Rasic told SGV CityWatch. The Jeep’s adult driver was uninjured. He was arrested and booked on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant, Rasic told SGV CityWatch. Firefighters were dispatched to 9900 E. Valley Boulevard at 7:47 p.m. November 22. Fire ignited in an abandoned 50-foot by 100-foot one-story building, according to Dispatch Supervisor Imogene McBride of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters knocked down flames at 9:23 p.m., McBride told SGV CityWatch. The cause is under investigation. El Monte Police officers were dispatched to the 10000 block of Valley Boulevard around 2:10 p.m. November 19. While being initially short on specific details, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives stated the victim was hospitalized, but later died.
