EL MONTE - Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the Monday shooting death of a man.

A man was found shot in the 2300 block of Peck Road April 7 around 9:30 p.m. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives have yet to reveal the possible circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting.

EL MONTE - One suspect was detained after a man was found dead in an El Monte neighborhood Tuesday.

Officers discovered the body of an Asian man while conducting a welfare check at a home in the 10500 block of Bisby Street around 6:30 p.m. The publicly unidentified victim had visible trauma to the upper torso , according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives have yet to go into detail about the suspect’s arrest.

EL MONTE - Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are assisting El Monte Police officers in investigating a fatal shooting.

First responders were sent to a neighborhood in the 3800 block of Penn Mar Avenue around 3:35 a.m. Saturday, April 20. The victim, only described as a female adult, was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators have released no further details on what led to the woman’s death.

LOS ANGELES – A 31-year-old man shot and who later died at a hospital was identified recently.

Andrew Valencia, 31, was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest. His death was ruled a homicide.

Valencia was found wounded, but still alive in the 3000 block of Allgeyer Avenue May 5. Firefighters and El Monte Police officers were called around 4:50 a.m. He was taken to a hospital and later declared dead.

Valencia was found laying to the side of a road near a business.

Surveillance footage apparently revealed a dark-colored sedan was driven to the location and Valencia was pushed out of the vehicle, leading investigators to believe he was shot elsewhere. The sedan was driven south from the scene.

EL MONTE - One person died from apparent gunshot wounds after being hospitalized Thursday morning.

Reports from the scene show the shooting took place on North Allgeyer Avenue south of Valley Boulevard.

Firefighters were dispatched at 4:50 a.m. May 5. One unidentified victim was taken to a hospital, according to a public information officer with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The patient later died, according to reports from the scene.

The El Monte Police Department is deferring all questions to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.

EL MONTE – A man treated for gunshot wounds later died after being hospitalized Thursday.

The shooting reportedly took place in the 11600 block of Garvey Avenue around 2:10 a.m. April 15, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The Information Bureau did not yet state if a suspect was still being sought. However, deputies from the Sheriff’s Temple Station stated earlier over radio traffic in the 4 a.m. hour that a suspect from an assault with a deadly weapon was at-large.

The eastbound line 486 bus for Foothill transit is detouring and the Garvey Avenue/Meeker Avenue stop is closed until 5 p.m.

EL MONTE - A man was killed by gunfire, homicide investigators said Sunday.

The shooting took place in the 9800 block of Rio Hondo Parkway around 4:14 p.m. April 4, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

EL MONTE - A man in his 30s died Saturday after being hospitalized for gunshot wounds sustained after a possible fight, sheriffs homicide detectives said.

El Monte police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 11400 block of Garvey Avenue around 1:07 a.m. August 29 and found the shooting victim. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

EL MONTE - Homicide detectives are searching for the suspect who took the life of a man found stabbed Wednesday night.

El Monte officers responded to the 10000 block of Valley Boulevard at 8:50 p.m. May 20 to a disturbance call and found a man suffering from several stab wounds to the upper torso. The man later died after being hospitalized, according to Deputy Maria Lucero of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

There is no additional information available.
