CityWatch Editor EL MONTE - One person was declared dead in an El Monte neighborhood Tuesday evening. First responders were sent to the 10500 block of Bisby Street, around 6:30 p.m., June 18. The victim, only described as a male adult, was found at the location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The apparent cause of death was not immediately shared. Broadcast traffic from the Los Angeles County Fire Department briefly detailed a room by room search at the location by El Monte police officers who discovered one person down. Firefighters stood by until the scene was secured for them to go in and begin treating the patient. It is not immediately clear, if investigators have determined a motive, or have acquired a suspect description. El Monte Police officers responding to a assault with a deadly weapon call in the 11000 block of Ranchito Street discovered the body of a 40 to 45-year-old woman. She suffered from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics declared her dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. First responders were sent to the location just before 5 p.m. Sunday, October 22. The suspect, only described as a Latino woman 20 to 25 years old, was detained outside of the residence. She was later taken into custody. A potential murder weapon was found at the scene. It is not publicly clear if investigators have determined a motive. Officers were responding to a reported stabbing at the Siesta Inn, 10237 Garvey Ave., and immediately came under fire upon arrival, according to El Monte officials. “There are no words to describe our grief and devastation by this senseless act as we learned about the passing of two of our police officers. The 89-year-old woman was hospitalized and later died. After receiving information on a possible suspect, El Monte officers located the man, believed to be the victim’s grandson, and detained him. County firefighters and El Monte Police officers were called to the 2600 block of Mountain View Road, Pittman told SGV CityWatch. Although evidence suggests the male killed was driving when he was shot, investigators have yet to confirm it, according to Lt. Doug Knight of the El Monte Police Department. “We do have one confirmed gunshot victim who has been pronounced deceased,” Knight told SGV CityWatch. “He was the driver of the vehicle.” Mountain View Road and Elliott Avenue are closed in all directions as the investigation continues, Knight told SGV CityWatch. El Monte police officers responded to the 9800 block of Rio Hondo Parkway around 4:14 p.m. April 4. They discovered a man who would later die at the apartment from his wounds, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Witnesses said a man also involved in a shooting fled the scene and into a nearby apartment complex. Officers searched the complex and found the second gunman who was also wounded. He was hospitalized and was last listed in critical condition, deputies said. “Detectives believe the males are involved in gangs and were in an ongoing dispute over a vehicle. Both males shot each other and both firearms were recovered at the scene,” deputies said in a written statement.
