The woman’s body was found in the 3300 block of Maxson Road Tuesday, February 4, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The motive for the murder is unknown, the Sheriff’s Department said. El Monte Police responded to calls of a man dragging a woman’s body to some dumpsters just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and arriving officers made the grim discovery. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene in the 4400 block of Baldwin Avenue. Although a Sheriff’s press release listed the time of the reported stabbing as 7 a.m., firefighters were called by deputies at 7:20 a.m. to Baldwin Avenue between Lower Azusa Road and Gidley Street for a cardiac arrest victim. Firefighters arrived on scene and declared the victim dead on arrival six minutes later, according to Austin Bennett of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The Sheriff’s Department has yet to provide more details regarding the stabbing death.
