DUI Saturation patrols will take place in areas that experience a high volume of DUI collisions and arrests, Glendora Police announced. High-visibility DUI checkpoints and patrols have shown to reduce the number of DUI injury crashes and deaths. The fire, reported at 11:40 a.m., was burning on the right shoulder of the interchange. The Lone Hill Avenue on ramp to the eastbound 210 freeway is partially blocked by Los Angeles County Firefighters, according to the California Highway Patrol. A pickup truck involved in the crash reportedly flipped several times before landing back on its wheels. A big rig, blue Hyundai and silver Toyota Corolla were also involved in the crash, which blocked multiple lanes across the westbound side, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The Sig Alert, issued at 1 p.m. is scheduled to last one hour. The 57 freeway northbound is also experiencing heavy traffic at the San Dimas curve. The collision occurred before 8 a.m. in the intersection of Valley Center Avenue and Gladstone Street. The ambulance was responding to a call with lights and sirens activated when the Honda Civic drove through the intersection, striking the car, said Sgt. Marty Barrett of the Glendora Police Department. It is believed the driver of the Honda Civic had the green light as the ambulance was approaching. Drugs and alcohol are not factors in the crash. |
