Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY – At least one person was wounded by gunfire after being found injured at the Metrolink City of Industry Station just before 6 a.m. Monday.
Deputies are sorting through a confusing patchwork of stories given by the male who suffered the gunshot and a mysterious female caller who allegedly was also injured by gunfire, according to Lt. David Petrocelli of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Los Angeles County Firefighters were dispatched to South Brea Canyon Road and Spanish Lane just before 6 a.m. February 14. Deputies had to repeatedly ask both the mysterious female caller and the wounded male how the injuries came to be. The female caller stopped answering questions and could not be located, Petrocelli told SGV CityWatch. The wounded male said he was shot by a suspect carrying a shotgun at Brea Canyon Road and Valley Boulevard. A description was given, but deputies are questioning the validity of the description as well as the location given. The wounded male was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Petrocelli told SGV CityWatch. A nearby Ring camera reportedly recorded what sounded like gunfire in the area and are trying to pinpoint the location, Petrocelli told SGV CityWatch. |
