The empty rig overturned around 10:30 a.m. A second big rig hit the one that overturned, but it is unclear if the collision caused the rig to overturn. The extent of injuries is unclear. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - Firefighters cleared the scene nearly six hours after a large fire burned pallets and exploded propane tanks at a tire company Saturday.
The fire burned at 14955 Don Julian Rd., at 3:05 p.m. The fire threatened the main structure on the property, but firefighters prevented any damage, according to Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The business is Coker Tire Company. Firefighters had the flames knocked down at 4:04 p.m., Ornelas said. The cause is under investigation. |
