Four suspects in dark hooded sweatshirts took an undisclosed amount of merchandise from Daniel’s Jewelers, 1600 S. Azusa Ave., June 11. Deputies were called to the store at 4:14 p.m., according to Sgt. Magdaleno of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. A blunt instrument was used to shatter glass display cases, Magdaleno told SGV CityWatch. Employees are performing an inventory on what was stolen, Magdaleno told SGV CityWatch. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - Detectives are investigating two robberies that occurred March 8 in which a group of men took smartphones from their victims at gunpoint.
In both robberies, at least one suspect was armed with a handgun. The first robbery occurred in La Puente in the 400 block of Mayland Avenue at 8:47 p.m. Possibly four to five males took a smartphone at gunpoint. The suspects fled in what was described as a dark colored vehicle. The smartphone was being tracked, but the suspects knew how to turn off the tracking feature, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. A second armed robbery occurred in Hacienda Heights at 9:17 p.m. The victim who was punched by at least one suspect, sought help at a nearby fire station, 2691 S. Turnbull Canyon Rd. One of the three suspects seen was armed. The suspects fled and a light-colored sedan, Long told SGV CityWatch. Long was not entirely sure if a cell phone has been taken in the second robbery, but a Sheriff’s crime broadcast stated that a smartphone had been stolen. It was not immediately clear if these two crimes were committed by the same group of men, Long told SGV CityWatch. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - Deputies are investigating a robbery in which three men clad in masks robbed their victim outside a business early Friday morning. The three suspects used physical force to rob their victim of a wallet and some keys in 15500 block of Salt Lake Avenue in the City of Industry just before 6 a.m., according to Lt. Chris Garcia of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s industry Station.
The suspects approached their victim in the parking lot of a business on Salt Lake Avenue, Garcia said. In addition to the ski masks, the suspects wore all dark clothing, Garcia said. Firefighters treated the victim at the scene for undisclosed injuries. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - A woman was hit over the head with the butt of a handgun in an attempted carjacking Sunday afternoon. A male and female were involved in the successful robbery and attempted carjacking. The victim was approached from behind and struck with the gun. An iPhone8 and a set of keys were taken from inside the victim’s vehicle at Valley Boulevard and Fullerton Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. April 28.
The male suspect is in his 20s to 30s and is described as Hispanic, stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, wears black hair and wore a dark long-sleeve shirt. The female suspect is in her 20s to 30s and is described as Black. She wore a black headband. The suspects fled south on Fullerton Road in a grey or off-color gold SUV. The robbery occurred at 7-Eleven, 2600 Pellessier Pl., before 1 a.m April 4. At least one suspect was armed with a stainless steel handgun, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspects fled in a white 2006 Dodge Ram truck, but not before the armed suspect brandished a weapon at a second victim, deputies said.
All four suspects were described as men between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. They wore dark ski masks and dark clothing. The robbery occurred just before 10 a.m. at Hambeldon Avenue and Valley Boulevard. The suspects took the red iPhone in a clear case by force and fled on foot, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspects fled north on Hambeldon Avenue, east on Hurley Street and out of view.
The suspects are Black men in their 20s, about 6 feet tall, have thin builds and wore afros. One suspect wore a green hooded sweatshirt. The second wore a red shirt and dark pants. The robbery occurred at Diamond Family Spa, 1140 Coiner Ct., around 10:40 a.m. One of the suspects was armed with a chrome semi-automatic handgun, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspects fled with an estimated $1,000 in cash.
Both men were described as Hispanic. One wore a red shirt, the other wore a dark blue shirt. Both men wore blue jeans. They fled in a white sedan, possibly a Honda Accord, towards Gale Avenue, deputies said. The passenger of a black SUV exited and pointed a gun at the woman in the 15600 block of Stafford Street around 4 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. December 30. The robbery wasn’t reported to deputies until about an hour later, according to Lt. Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The gunman is a Black man and is 20 to 22 years old. He wore a blue shirt and jeans. The employee wasn’t seriously injured by the pepper spray during the robbery at the pharmacy located at 21590 E. Valley Blvd., according to Sgt. Matthew Shackelford of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The robbery took place just after 3 p.m. The lone suspect, described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, stole various “As Seen on TV” items, according to a Sheriff’s Industry Station crime broadcast. The suspect fled in a truck. The robbery occurred at the T-Mobile, 17501 Colima Rd. around 6:05 p.m. The suspects fled in a black, newer-model Mercedes two-door vehicle, which was seen being driven westbound Colima Road towards Azusa Avenue. The first suspect is a Black man in his mid-20s, is 6 feet 4 inches tall, has a medium build and wore grey sweatpants and blue and red baseball hat. The second suspect is a Black man in his mid-20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and has a slim build. His hair was in dreadlocks, deputies said. |
