​Woman Injured in Reported Carjacking Attempt in Industry

INDUSTRY - A woman was hit over the head with the butt of a handgun in an attempted carjacking Sunday afternoon.

A male and female were involved in the successful robbery and attempted carjacking. The victim was approached from behind and struck with the gun. An iPhone8 and a set of keys were taken from inside the victim’s vehicle at Valley Boulevard and Fullerton Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. April 28.

The male suspect is in his 20s to 30s and is described as Hispanic, stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, wears black hair and wore a dark long-sleeve shirt.

The female suspect is in her 20s to 30s and is described as Black. She wore a black headband.

The suspects fled south on Fullerton Road in a grey or off-color gold SUV.
