CITY OF INDUSTRY - One person was killed after a tour bus caught fire Friday morning.

It is unclear if anyone else was injured. The bus was pulled to the right shoulder of the eastbound 60 Freeway just west of Azusa Avenue. First responders were called around 5:38 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

It is not immediately clear how many other people were aboard the tour bus, but initial reports indicated two people fled the large vehicle as it burned, according to CHP traffic logs.

The fire appeared to originate from the back of the bus.

The No. 3 & 4 lanes are blocked until further notice, according to the CHP.

CITY OF INDUSTRY - One person in a gray Nissan SUV was killed after colliding with a semi truck on the northbound 605 Freeway at the eastbound 60 Freeway transition road Tuesday.

The crash is currently blocking the transition road to the eastbound 60. The collision is currently blocking the No. 3 lane. A light pole is also destroyed and is down across the No. 2 and 3 lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The HOV and No. 1 lanes remain open.

The crash was reported just before 4:30 p.m.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner recently identified the man who leapt to his death from a freeway overpass.

Francis Gil Cruz, 36, died from blunt force injuries. His death was ruled a suicide.

First responders were sent to Cloverleaf Drive under the 605 freeway overpass just after 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatches.

Cruz died at the scene.

CITY OF INDUSTRY - A pedestrian either jumped, or accidentally fell from the 605 freeway onto a public street Tuesday afternoon.

First responders were sent to Cloverleaf Drive under the 605 freeway overpass just after 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatches.

The pedestrian died at the scene, according to Sgt. Del Valle of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station.

Del Valle did not know the circumstances that led to the death. No one else was involved.

The pedestrian’s identity has not yet been publicly shared.

INDUSTRY - Traffic is seemingly unaffected so far after a fire ignited deep in the flood control channel under the 60 Freeway Near Fullerton Road, Monday.

Firefighters have gone an estimated 60 to 80 feet into the flood control channel under the 60 freeway, but have yet to find the seat of the fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Los Angeles County Fire Department Urban Search and Rescue Team has been requested.

CITY OF INDUSTRY – At Least one person was killed in a collision on the 60 freeway Thursday morning.

The crash was reported at 6:17 a.m. on the west 60 freeway east of Fairway Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Possibly one other vehicle was involved in the crash that occurred that is affecting the HOV, No. 1 and 2 lanes. A Sig Alert affected the mentioned lanes, but has since been cancelled, the California Highway Patrol said.
