 Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - The California Highway Patrol is planning a DUI/Driver license checkpoint in the Unincorporated area of City of Industry and West Covina Wednesday, May 5.
The checkpoint is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at an undisclosed location. Funding for this checkpoint is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - A suspect received minor injuries after crashing during a brief chase, a Sheriff’s sergeant said Tuesday. The unidentified suspect briefly fled deputies after they tried to pull him over on Valley Boulevard just before 5 a.m. January 29, according to Sgt. Brady Kline of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspect fled southbound towards the 60 freeway where the stolen vehicle crashed into a pole on 7th Avenue, Klein said.
The stolen vehicle was recovered, Klein said. CHP officers responded to take a report on the collision aspect of the pursuit, according to Officer Peter Nicholson of the California Highway Patrol. The suspect’s booking information was not yet available. |
