Deputies were called to Los Angeles County Fire Station 43, 921 S. Stimson Ave., around 4:16 p.m. The man was taken to an area hospital and refused to cooperate with deputies, according to Lt. Chris Garcia of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Deputies were unable to obtain a suspect or vehicle description or how the man wound up with a gunshot wound. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - A person was found dead in a flood control channel Saturday morning, a Los Angeles County fire dispatch supervisor said. Firefighters responding to a medical emergency call near Baldwin Park Boulevard and Louden Lane at 9:36 a.m. found the victim unresponsive and not breathing, according to Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. CPR was initiated, but the victim was ultimately deemed a long-term death, Marrujo told SGV CityWatch. A supervisor at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station did not have details yet regarding the death investigation and said deputies were still at the scene. |
