Investigators located the 1998-2002 silver four-door Honda Accord Thursday around 2:30 p.m. The suspect was arrested and booked at the Sheriff’s Industry Station, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Surveillance video caught the hit-and-run, which occurred at the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Gemini Street Wednesday around 1:30 p.m. The driver, only described as a man, was southbound on Azusa Avenue while the victims were crossing eastbound from the west curb line on Gemini Street. The driver failed to stop for a red light and struck both victims who sustained minor injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect’s name is unavailable at the time this story was posted. The suspect is still in the process of being booked, according to Lt. Kearney of the Sheriff’s Industry Station. |
