The cause of the commercial fire at 151 S. 9th. Ave., is still under investigation. The second-alarm blaze was contained to the affected building, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters were dispatched at 2:45 p.m. It was unclear if the building was occupied or vacant. The fire burned at 14955 Don Julian Rd., at 3:05 p.m. The fire threatened the main structure on the property, but firefighters prevented any damage, according to Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The business is Coker Tire Company. Firefighters had the flames knocked down at 4:04 p.m., Ornelas said. The cause is under investigation. |
