Two Killed in Early-Morning Freeway Crash In El Monte

EL MONTE - All but the No. 5 lane of the westbound I-10 freeway in El Monte remain closed after a collision took the lives of two people Sunday morning.

The crash was first reported at 5:22 a.m. Both victims killed in the crash died at the scene, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Moises Marroquin.

Three other people received a minor injuries in the crash, according to the Los Angeles county fire department, but it was not immediately known if those three injured were taken into area hospitals.
