School Briefly Locked Down in Glendora After Student Hears Talk of a Weapon

GLENDORA - Glendora police detectives and officers made no arrests and no weapon was found after one student overheard another student speak about a weapon Friday.

“One of the students overheard somebody say something to the effect of ‘I have a gun’ and that’s all they heard,” according to Sgt. Shawna Celello of the Glendora Police Department. “There was no clarification to what kind of gun it was and there was no clarification as to where that gun was.”

Police were dispatched to Arrow High School, 1505 S. sunflower Ave., around 10:32 a.m. Friday, March 17.

The student who overheard the talk of a weapon wasn’t able to identify the student who said it.

Officers and detectives finally cleared the school at 12:32 p.m.
