The victim, only described as a Hispanic man, was hospitalized and later declared dead, according to CHP officer Tony Polizzi. Polizzi did not have any indication the collision was a hit and run. Deputies responded to the area of East Central Avenue and North 2nd Street at 9:43 a.m. and found the man on the pole. “He was having issues and he didn’t want to come down,” said Sgt. Caracheo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. A Los Angeles County Fire Department ladder truck arrived to assist the man down from the pole, according to Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The man was hospitalized for a mental evaluation. No one was injured, Caracheo said. The woman was found in a home the 1600 of Azusa Avenue near the Industry Hills Equestrian Center, according to Sgt. Kneubuhler of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Deputies believe the woman, whose condition was not immediately known, was shot elsewhere and taken to a home, Kneubuhler said. Deputies responded to the home around 10:35 p.m. No other description was provided for the suspects. The shooting victim treated at the scene and hospitalized. The collision occurred at Valley Boulevard and Hambeldon Avenue around 10:41 a.m. July 17. Three of the four patients received minor injuries in the crash.
