Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - A suspect remains outstanding after shooting and killing a man at a busy construction site Monday morning.
The suspect, a man in a hard hat and a mask, fled the scene after shooting another man around 9:35 a.m. The construction site was very active with workers on scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. Coroner investigators have not released the name of the victim yet since positive identification has not been made. The construction site is in the 14700 block of Nelson Avenue. The victim died at the scene, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was specifically targeted by the suspect, Homicide detectives said. The murder weapon has not been recovered. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
