Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY - The man found shot on a sidewalk Wednesday died from his injuries, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies found the victim, only described as a 45-year-old Hispanic man, laying on the sidewalk and suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso in the 100 block of North Azusa Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputies were called at 5 p.m. November 24. They were originally responding to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon and a man armed with a handgun. During the investigation, a bullet was located near Azusa Avenue and Glenloch Avenue north of where the shooting took place. A discarded hooded sweatshirt was also located, but it is unclear if it is tied to the shooting. A suspect remains at-large.
