Woman Shocked with Stun Gun During Robbery Attempt at Puente Hills Mall

INDUSTRY - Three men fled after attempting to rob a woman by shocking her with a stun gun in the Sears parking lot at Puente Hills Mall Saturday.

The crime was reported just before 5 p.m. at Puente Hills Mall, 1600 S. Azusa Ave. Three men pulled up next to the victim, who was seated in her car. A passenger exited and began shocking the victim and demanded her property, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station crime broadcast.

All three men were described as Hispanic 18-21 years old. One suspect wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and was described as thin.

The suspects fled in a newer-model Honda Accord or Civic displaying blue paper plates. The car was seen fleeing west through the parking lot towards the 60 freeway.

The extent of injuries to the woman were not described.
