The robbery occurred in the 00 block of West Huntington Drive around 4:35 a.m. The four suspects approached the intoxicated man and robbed him, Arcadia Police said. A description of what was taken was not provided. One suspect was identified as a 19-year-old man from either Monrovia or Duarte. The investigation is ongoing. The crime occurred at Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Dr., around 12:41 a.m. July 21. Police contacted the victim who said the boy took the gold chain from his neck, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The relationship between the victim and boy was not disclosed, nor was how officers located the suspect. The teen was taken to the Arcadia Police jail for booking. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - A Sig Alert was issued for the No. 3, 4 and 5 lanes on the eastbound 210 freeway at Michillinda Avenue Wednesday after a semi and trailer overturned.
No injuries were reported after the semi and trailer turned over just before 6 p.m. across all lanes of the eastbound 201 freeway. The Sig Alert is scheduled to last until about 8:30 p.m. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Police arrested four suspected home burglars Monday morning as they entered a waiting vehicle.
Some of the suspects smashed through a window to gain access into a home in the 300 block of Joyce Avenue some time before 12:30 p.m. A resident inside the home heard the noise and called police, according to Sgt. Kollin Cieadlo of the Arcadia Police Department. As officers arrived, they witnessed two suspects flee the home and enter the waiting vehicle where two suspect were already inside. Officers conducted a high risk stop of the vehicle outside the burglarized home and took all four suspects, two adults and two juveniles into custody, Cieadlo said. It is unclear if any property was taken. The suspects are in the booking process at the time this post went live. A resident called police about the bear just after 8 a.m. in the 2200 block of Canyon Road. Police summoned the California Department of Fish & Wildlife as they responded, according to Lt. Vaughn Whalen of the Arcadia Police Department. The bear fled the home and wandered back into the foothills when officers arrived. It is unclear how the bear entered the home, or how much damage it may have caused. |
