Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Officers chased the driver and passengers of a stolen vehicle November 30 and the chase ultimately ended in an injury crash. The driver of a vehicle stolen from the LAPD’s Van Nuys Division refused to yield for an enforcement stop near Colorado Boulevard and Old Ranch Road around 10 p.m. Saturday. according to the Arcadia Police Department. The chase lasted less than one minute when the suspect crashed into a vehicle and injured two occupants at Colorado Boulevard and Michillinda Avenue, Arcadia Police said.
After the crash, police learned the vehicle was stolen. Three people fled the stolen ride. Only two were caught, Arcadia Police said. Two people in the vehicle struck were hospitalized with minor injuries. The vehicle was stolen from the Extended Stay America, 401 E. Santa Clara St., just before 5:30 p.m. The suspect was left alone in the vehicle with the keys while the victim went back to the room at the hotel, Arcadia Police said. The vehicle and suspect were gone when the victim returned. The suspect was only described as a white female with black hair and green eyes. |
