Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Officers are searching for an unspecified number of suspects after the end of a pursuit. One person has been detained, according to the Sierra Madre Police Department, which is assisting Arcadia officers with a yard-to-yard search. The search is being conducted in the area of West Floral Avenue and Rodeo Road. The search for the fleeing pursuit suspects began some time before 6 p.m. near the 210 freeway and Santa Anita Avenue. The search began shortly after 3:15 p.m. Police responded after a neighbor reported a suspicious vehicle in the 2200 block of Highland Oaks Drive, according to Lt. Tom Cullen of the Arcadia Police Department. Cullen was unsure if the suspects made it into a residence, but the four suspects fled, forcing officers to set up a perimeter search. Officers have secured the suspect vehicle. The perimeter search is fairly localized within a small area around the affected Highland Oaks neighborhood, Cullen said. The suspects were initially described as Black men, some or all were dressed in red and black clothing, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic. |
