CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Police arrested a man and woman November 14, after the duo were tracked to Los Angeles during an investigation into a violent robbery. The duo allegedly used a pickup truck to intentionally back out of a driveway and into a moving vehicle in the 800 block of Arcadia Avenue, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. Thursday. After the collision, two masked suspects exited the truck and robbed the passenger of the car at gunpoint. The passenger was also punched several times in the head, according to the Arcadia Police Department. Arcadia detectives and plainclothes officers were conducting follow up work in Los Angeles when the suspect truck was located at Nordhoff Street and Mason Avenue. Los Angeles Police officers were called and assisted by following the truck to the 19900 block of Labrador Street. A man and woman fled the truck. The woman was quickly caught by Arcadia Police officers. During a perimeter search, an LAPD K9 located the hiding suspect in the 20000 block of Labrador. Cheyanne Craig, 29, and Grayson Horne, 24, were taken into custody. Evidence from the robbery was reportedly located in the suspect truck. Horne and Craig were booked on suspicion of robbery and resisting arrest, according to the Arcadia Police Department. Craig was issued a citation and released November 15. CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Dodgers star pitcher Walker Buehler and his wife were reportedly mobbed recently and had his watch stolen, according to ABC7 Eyewitness News. It is not yet clear when the incident occurred, but Buehler and his wife, McKenzie Marcinek, were walking at Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Dr., when they were surrounded by a mob of people. At some point, someone unbuttoned Buehler‘s shirt sleeve and stole the expensive watch he was wearing, according to ABC7. The Arcadia Police Department acknowledged the incident, but has yet to provide an official statement on the investigation into this robbery. This incident comes on the heels of a pivotal a game three of the National League Division Series, which begins in San Diego Tuesday night. The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are tied at one game apiece. Four masked suspects attempted to enter a closed, locked business where several people were still inside in the 100 block of East Santa Clara Street. One suspect used a weapon to shoot the glass and enter the business. One of the rounds fired into the business struck the victim in the leg, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The robbery was reported around 10:40 p.m. Friday, April 26. Once inside, the suspects robbed the victims and then escaped in a vehicle described as a newer model white or silver four-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The robbery occurred at 420 N. Santa Anita Ave. sometime after 10:30 p.m. August 29. One of the suspects was armed with what appeared to be a black semiautomatic handgun, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic. Three suspects fled on foot north to an apartment complex at 21 E. Colorado Blvd. where they jumped a fence to nearby Newman Avenue. A fourth suspect escaped into a gold Lincoln SUV which was driven south on Santa Anita Avenue, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic. All four suspects were described as Latino males ranging from 14 to 15 years old. One suspect appeared 15 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds and has short black hair with a heart shaved into the back of his head. He wore a black polo and black pants. A second suspect appeared 15 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds and has short black hair in a bowl cut. He wore silver earrings, a black Ralph Lauren hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black shoes. Suspect three appeared 15 years old with black puffy hair. No other description was available. The fourth suspect appeared 14 years old. He wore a blue cap. No other description was available. At least five suspects reportedly took high-priced perfumes from Macy’s at the Shops at Santa Anita, 400 S. Baldwin Ave. Officers were called to the Macy’s just after 1:10 p.m. August 22. The suspects were decked out in hoodies and face masks, piling stolen merchandise into bags, while shoppers and employees looked on. The robbery video was shared on the Citizen App. The suspects fled in a black sedan. One of the suspects reportedly assaulted a female as she sat in her vehicle at the mall. The suspect entered her vehicle, struck her in the face and took her purse just before 12:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Ernest Lopez of the Arcadia Police Department. The suspect fled in a black BMW sedan. Both the suspect and vehicle match the descriptions given in similar crimes at the mall, Lopez said in a written statement. Around 2:38 p.m., police learned of a possible suspect vehicle seen parked at the mall. After conducting surveillance on the BMW sedan, a traffic stop was conducted, two occupants detained and stolen property from the crime just hours before was found, Lopez said. The two unidentified suspects were taken into custody and booked on suspicion of robbery. Police were called to a home December 5 in the 300 block of West Woodruff Avenue. Officers learned the man used www.chineseinla.com to arrange a money transfer. A few days later, the man received WeChat messages. “The victim received WeChat messages from a female asking if he would like to meet her at a house in Arcadia,” according to the Arcadia Police Department. The man arrived to the home and encountered four men. He was held at gunpoint and his phone was taken to issue the $90,000 transfer, Arcadia Police said. Investigators did not elaborate if the victim knew any of the suspects. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a man who reported being robbed at gunpoint inside a home September 24. The crime occurred in the 1500 block of Highland Oaks. The victim was visiting friends at the home when the victim answered a person who rang the doorbell at 9 p.m. The person, an Asian man armed with a silver handgun, forced his way in, said Sgt. Kollin Cieadlo of the Arcadia Police Department. “The victim was forced to lay on the ground, had his hands tied behind his back and cash and some jewelry was taken from the victim,” Cieadlo said. The house where the crime occurred is in the process of being purchased, Cieadlo said.
The suspect was seen fleeing on foot north from the home. The friends the victim was visiting were gone from the home when police arrived, Cieadlo said. It is unclear where the victim’s friends went after the crime occurred and officers had yet to speak with them Wednesday to confirm or deny the story. Police are investigating the story as a legitimate crime, Cieadlo said. The suspect was only described as an Asian male in his 30s wearing a black hat. The incident unfolded at D2 Hair Salon 556 Las Tunas Dr., at 12:20 p.m. The suspect entered the salon from the rear of the property, according to the Arcadia Police Department. One suspect was heavyset, the other described as thin. There was no other description available for either suspect. The investigation is ongoing, Arcadia Police said. The man called police after being robbed at the Extended Stay America, 401 E. Santa Clara Dr., around 4:30 p.m. The man reportedly withheld payment to a prostitute who, in turn, called her pimp, according to the Arcadia Police Department.
