Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives announced the death of a victim in a shooting from Sunday night. The shooting occurred in the 2800 block of Caroline Way near La Tunas Avenue. Officers found in a rear yard a conscious man in his 20s shot in the back and his left leg. He was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic.
It is unclear if police found additional victims. Two of several vehicles seen fleeing the neighborhood at high speed were stopped. One SUV had a spent shell casing inside. The driver is detained, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Police have entered the rear yard of a home and discovered a conscious man in his 20s shot in the back and his left leg. Several people remaining in the rear yard are being cleared out, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic. The shooting was reported around 8:50 p.m. Two of several vehicles seen fleeing the neighborhood at high speed were stopped. One SUV had a spent shell casing inside.
