He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The second suspect is 5 feet 2 inches tall and thin. He also wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
Both suspects ran north through a parking lot and westbound to the rear of 117 E. Huntington Dr. and out of sight, Arcadia Police said. A red iPhone XR was taken by force at the Arcadia Gold Line Station, 201 N. 1st Ave., just before 9 a.m. February 27. The suspect fled on foot east on East Santa Clara Street and out of view, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau. The suspect is a Black man in his 20s and stands 6 feet 2 inches tall. He wore black clothing and red shoes. The robbery occurred in the 300 block of North 1st Avenue. One of the suspects produced a silver semi-automatic handgun and took a wallet containing cash, debit cards and a driver license, according to an Arcadia Police crime broadcast. Both men are Hispanic and in their early 20s, stand 5 feet 8 inches tall, have thin builds and short black hair. One suspect wore a white shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect wore a dark shirt, blue jean pants and wore a mask covering the lower half of his face. The suspects fled in an early-2000s grey four-door Toyota Camry, which was seen southbound on 1st Avenue and east on Santa Clara Street. The attempted robbery occurred in the 100 block of East Huntington Drive at 6:30 p.m. The suspect engaged his intended victim in conversation before producing a handgun, according to Lt. Tom Cullen of the Arcadia Police Department. "The suspect ... produced a handgun, and demanded property. The suspect did not obtain any property from the victim," Cullen said in a written statement. The suspect took off on a bicycle east on Huntington Drive. Officers conducted a search of the area and came across a man they believed was the suspect. This man fled when police tried to contact him, setting off a multi-agency perimeter search. The fleeing man was eventually caught, but was not the armed robbery suspect, the intended victim told Arcadia officers. The outstanding suspect is a Hispanic man, approximately 50 years old, is bald, stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and was wearing a baggy black jacket and black cargo pants. A third man acted as a lookout. All three suspects fled after taking the cash. All three suspects are described as Black men, 20 to 30 years old, around 6 feet tall and wore hooded sweatshirts. Three men approached the victim at 2nd Avenue and La Sierra Drive around 8:55 p.m. The victim was struck an undisclosed amount of times. The suspects threatened to shoot the victim if he did not relinquish the cash, according to an Arcadia Police crime broadcast. One suspect is a Hispanic man in his 20s in dark clothing, dark baseball hat and dark jeans. The second and third suspects are also Hispanic men in their 20s. They also wore dark clothing. The robbery occurred in the 00 block of West Huntington Drive around 4:35 a.m. The four suspects approached the intoxicated man and robbed him, Arcadia Police said. A description of what was taken was not provided. One suspect was identified as a 19-year-old man from either Monrovia or Duarte. The investigation is ongoing. The crime occurred at Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Dr., around 12:41 a.m. July 21. Police contacted the victim who said the boy took the gold chain from his neck, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The relationship between the victim and boy was not disclosed, nor was how officers located the suspect. The teen was taken to the Arcadia Police jail for booking. The robbery took place in the 900 block of Fairview Avenue around 1:43 a.m. As the victims were walking to the residence after parking, two men approached them. One of the was armed, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The suspects demanded wallets and money, which both victims surrendered. The suspects fled on foot. The suspects are described as Black males in their late teens or early 20s. Both were thin and wore dark hooded sweatshirts. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - A man who masked himself by wearing a motorcycle helmet robbed a Verizon store of several cell phones Tuesday morning.
The suspect entered the Verizon store, 655 W. Duarte Rd. around 10 a.m. and displayed a handgun during the crime. He then fled the store and sped off on a copper and black-colored Suzuki motorcycle, said Lt. Tom Cullen of the Arcadia Police Department. Monrovia Police officers quickly learned of the crime and located a possible matching motorcycle in their city at Duarte Road and Myrtle Avenue, said Sgt. William Burkhalter of the Monrovia Police Department. The rider sped off and entered the eastbound 210 freeway, fleeing pursuing Monrovia officers at more than 100 miles per hour. The suspect quickly got away from Monrovia police, who last saw the suspect eastbound on the freeway at Sunflower Avenue in Glendora. The rider wore a black helmet, black jacket, dark pants and a blue backpack. |
