The victim was hospitalized for her injuries. Her estranged boyfriend, 27-year-old Robert Michael Mendez, was found and arrested within the home in the 1500 block of South Santa Anita Avenue and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment and other charges, Arcadia Police said. Officers were sent a link of the assault around 2 p.m. September 30. The video was believed to have taken place in the area of Santa Anita Avenue and Camino Real. Detectives canvassed the area and narrowed the location to the 1500 block of South Santa Anita where the woman and suspect were found, Arcadia Police said. Additional information led detectives to believe the assault took place around 11:40 p.m. September 29.
“Investigation also revealed that the female victim had been held against her will inside the residence since late last evening,” Arcadia Police said. The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m. at Knockouts Gentleman’s Club, 1580 Clark Street. The altercation between the two men led the ex-husband and seven of the ex’s friends to punch, kick and stomp on the boyfriend, according to the Arcadia Police Department.
The boyfriend’s wallet, keys and cellphone were stolen, Arcadia Police said. The boyfriend declined medical attention. Knockouts touts itself as a topless sports bar. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Three men were involved in a robbery in which one of the suspects struck the victim with a tire iron, Arcadia Police said. The attack and robbery occurred around 12:28 p.m. April 16 in the area of El Monte Avenue and Longden Avenue. The victim pulled to a curb and exited to inspect his truck bed’s contents. Three men approached and the victim was hit with the tire iron, Arcadia Police said. The victim’s wallet and cellphone were taken.
The victim declined medical treatment, Arcadia Police said. The suspects, only described as Black men in their 30s, fled the scene in a silver four-door sedan. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - A part-time employee of the Arcadia Recreation and Community Services Department was arrested after other employees learned of allegations of lewd acts with a girl under 14, police said. Moises Davila, 20, was arrested Friday, March 29, two days after officers were informed by the city’s community service department. Davila is accused of lewd acts with the child who attended the After School Recreation Program at Longley Way Elementary School, Arcadia Police said. Arcadia detectives spoke with several community services employees and juveniles of the program and learned of other suspicious instances between Davila and additional female juveniles, but nothing overtly sexual in nature, Arcadia Police said.
Davila was booked on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. The fight occurred with other transients on a bike trail at Peck Road Park, 5401 Peck Rd. December 17. El Monte Police informed Sheriff’s deputies of the fight just before 4 p.m., according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The victims refuse to give information on the others involved in the tussle. “They’re not giving any information on the suspects. They know them from the area,” Schrader said. “There’s an ongoing dispute among these individuals.” It was unclear to deputies what, if any, weapons were used in the fight, which was originally dispatched as a possible stabbing. Robert Anthony Padilla was found after a search in Temple City October 16 led investigators to Silver City, New Mexico. Padilla is being held in the Grant County Detention Center in New Mexico and is awaiting extradition on felony charges, according to the Arcadia Police Department. Padilla, 27, bail has been set at $1.45 million. Investigators with the Arcadia Police detective bureau said DNA evidence collected after the September 8 sex assault pinpointed Padilla as a suspect. Padilla is accused of approaching his victim from behind when he forced her to behind a bush or hedge where he sexually assaulted her in the 2300 block of Santa Anita Avenue September 8. While Padilla was fleeing from authorities, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The suspect, 27-year-old Robert Anthony Padilla of El Monte, was identified after DNA evidence gathered at the scene pinpointed Padilla as the suspect in the attack, Arcadia Police said. Padilla is accused of approaching his victim from behind when he forced her to behind a bush or hedge where he sexually assaulted her September 8 in the 2300 block of Santa Anita Avenue. His victim escaped and Padilla fled on a BMX bike. He is believed to be transient, Arcadia Police said. The case has already been presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. A felony warrant has been issued for Padilla’s arrest. Bail has already been set at $1.45 million. Padilla is a Hispanic male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 190 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
