The theft was reported to officers January 23. The woman said she checked her safety deposit box after having not checked it since 1997 and discovered the jewelry missing, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The theft occurred at Chase Bank, 700 W. Huntington Dr. Police did not state the loss in dollars. It was unknown if a suspect could be identified. Officers were called to World Gas, 3 E. Duarte Rd., November 7, just before 9:53 a.m. The gas station supervisor noticed five compromised gas pumps, according to the Arcadia Police Department. It is unknown how the suspect gained access to the pumps, or for how long the skimming devices were installed, Arcadia police said. Burglarized was an El Pollo Loco, 9974 Las Tunas Dr. Police were called just before 8:25 a.m. for a commercial burglary report. A drive-thru window was pried open to gain entry, according to the Arcadia Police Department.
A cash register was damaged and unknown items were taken, Arcadia Police said. No suspect description was available. An officer stopped a vehicle without a front license plate just before 2:22 p.m. at Greenfield Avenue and Live Oak Avenue. After discovering the 18-year-old driver from Lakewood had no driver license, police searched and found burglary tools inside, Arcadia Police said.
A records check revealed the teen passengers, two from Los Angeles and one from Lynwood, were on probation for robbery, burglary and other crimes, Arcadia Police said. The teens were booked at the Arcadia jail. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Five people including three juveniles were arrested May 28 and found with stolen property after a resident found the suspects’ presence suspicious. A 17-year-old suspect was going from door to door in the area of Foothill Boulevard near Ranch Road Tuesday, presenting a missing dog flyer to residents. One resident in particular didn’t believe her. “When the girl was told ‘no’, she quickly left and got into a green 2002 Nissan Altima with a male driver. As the Nissan left, the resident was able to write down the license plate. The resident did not recognize the girl and felt her actions were suspicious so they called APD,” according to the Arcadia Police Department. Officers found the Altima nearby in the 1200 block of Rancho Road, detained the 17-year-old suspect as she walked back to the car and four male suspects within. Officers then found what they believed to be stolen property, Arcadia Police said.
During the field investigation, officers were notified of a home burglary in Sierra Madre and believing the detained suspects were connected, a witness was brought to the scene and positively identified the suspects, Arcadia Police said. Amaijay Duncan, a 20-year-old male from Compton, Trevor Pamphlim, an 18-year-old male from Los Angeles, a 17-year-old male from Granada Hills, a 16-year-old male from Compton and the 17-year-old female from Compton were all arrested on suspicion of residential burglary. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Three burglary suspects were arrested last week after a resident caught two of the suspects on camera breaking into his home. The burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Alvarado Drive at 9:17 p.m. May 22. The resident saw two masked suspects in his backyard through a live security video feed, according to the Arcadia Police Department. Police arrived and stopped a third suspect attempting to flee in a black Honda Civic. The masked suspects attempted to escape police by running through yards, making it as far east as Old Ranch Road. A helicopter from the Pasadena Police Department followed the suspects, Arcadia Police said.
The masked suspects were eventually arrested. The suspects are a 20-year-old man from Moreno Valley with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, a 24-year-old man from Palmdale with two outstanding misdemeanor warrants and a 35-year-old man from Los Angeles. The suspect took a package from the area of Huntington Drive and Michillinda Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. April 23. The suspect refused to stop for officers once found and evaded them, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The suspect in a grey 2015 four-door Kia Optima fled from officers at high speed, sometimes reaching 90 miles per hour on surface streets, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic.
Due to the unsafe speed, officers cancelled the pursuit near Rosemead Boulevard and Del Mar Boulevard in Pasadena, Arcadia Police said. When the GPS tracker became stationary, officers found the abandoned suspect vehicle near Del Mar Boulevard and Craig Avenue in Pasadena, Arcadia Police said. The vehicle was actually located in the 2100 block of San Pasqual Street. The stolen package was recovered and the suspect outstanding. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Detectives are searching for a suspect or suspects involved in two nearly simultaneous pharmacy burglaries early Sunday. Officers responded to a pharmacy in the 600 block of West Duarte Road at 1:09 a.m. and found a shattered glass window. Officers found the business ransacked and cash taken from a register, Arcadia Police said. Four minutes later, officers responded to a pharmacy in the 1100 block of South Baldwin Avenue and found a glass door shattered. A bottle of medicine was taken from the pharmacy, but the suspect or suspects got more than they bargained for. “The bottle of medicine contained a GPS Tracker,” Arcadia Police said in a written statement.
Officers attempted to follow the location of the GPS tracker as it moved along surface streets. It then was tracked east on the 210 freeway until the tracker came to a halt on the east 210 freeway near Diamond Street in Monrovia. Officers searched and eventually recovered the GPS tracker, but they did not explicitly state if the bottle of medicine was recovered. There was no suspect or vehicle description provided. Officers were called to investigate the grand theft just after 9:30 p.m. A store employee witnessed three Black women and one Black man take the merchandise, according to the Arcadia Police Department. Police did not state if a getaway vehicle was seen fleeing the location. The burglary was reported just after 9:30 a.m. on West Norman Avenue. The three suspects, described as 14-year-old, 17-year-old and 20-year-old males from Los Angeles, took a tablet and cell phone before fleeing, Arcadia Police said. The suspects were identified through the resident’s high-quality surveillance cameras. The suspects fled into a waiting vehicle, Arcadia Police said, and are still outstanding. |
