The shooting occurred in the 2800 block of Caroline Way near La Tunas Avenue. Officers found in a rear yard a conscious man in his 20s shot in the back and his left leg. He was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital, according to Arcadia Police radio traffic.
It is unclear if police found additional victims. Two of several vehicles seen fleeing the neighborhood at high speed were stopped. One SUV had a spent shell casing inside. A relative discovered the grizzly scene in the 500 block of Los Altos Avenue around 10:33 p.m. July 6. A 75-year-old man was found dead in a garage, a 68-year-old woman was found dead in the house, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Both are husband and wife. Evidence found at the scene leads detectives to believe this was a murder suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. What exactly that evidence is has not been publicly revealed. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor REGION - A man was found dead from a gunshot wound Friday morning after reportedly calling and telling Sheriff’s deputies he would kill himself, a Sheriff’s lieutenant said. Deputies were called around 10:30 a.m. August 16 to the 9600 block of Leroy Street by a man who said he would shoot himself. Deputies found the man on the sidewalk. He died at the scene, according to Lt. Vienna of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his head, Vienna said. Coroner Investigator Nani Cholakians identified the man as William Carl Irish, 79, a resident of Arcadia. The coroner has yet to list an official cause of death. The car was sent into the storefront of Arcadia Main Florist, 30 W. Las Tunas Dr., around 3:15 a.m. August 8. The driver of the rented Hyundai Elantra, an adult male, died at the scene. The driver was westbound on Las Tunas Drive from Santa Anita Avenue and struck the center median which. The vehicle careened into the floral shop, according to Sgt. Larry Peralta of the Arcadia Police Department. No one else was in the car. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - Homicide detectives are looking for what they call a stolen vehicle taken from a woman believed to have been murdered. The victim, only described as a 76-year-old Asian woman, was found not breathing in the rear yard of her home in the 300 block of East Forest Avenue just before 7 a..m. April 9. The woman was declared dead at the scene. The victim was identified as Chyong Jen Tsai of Arcadia, according to Sarah Ardalani of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. The woman’s death was initially deemed suspicious, but detectives have not said how she died. A cause of death will be revealed by the county coroner.
The woman’s white 2005 Lexus RX 300 is missing from the location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau. The Lexus sports license plate number 5LOG473. No suspect description or motive is known at this time. Officers arrived and found the female’s body in the rear yard of the home, according to Lt. Mike Castro of the Arcadia Police Department. It is not yet clear why the death is deemed suspicious.
Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are en route to investigate, Castro said. The victim, a 52-year-old Arcadia woman, was crossing the street in the 1100 block of West Duarte Road around 3:27 p.m. when she was struck. Paramedics treated the woman at the scene and took her to a nearby hospital where she died, according to Lt. Mike Castro of the Arcadia Police Department. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, Castro said.
Arcadia Police collision investigators had Duarte Road between Sunset Boulevard and Oak Avenue blocked to traffic for nearly three hours. The roadway was opened by 6:15 p.m., Arcadia Police said. |
