Officers responding to a report of gunfire in the 1700 block of South Reservoir Street around 10:30 p.m. Both victim were discovered at the scene. The crash occurred in the area of East First Street and San Lorenzo Street just before 7:30 p.m. January 26. The bicyclist, only described as a 30-year-old Latino man, was found down in lanes of traffic. Los Angeles County firefighter paramedics pronounced the rider deceased at the scene, according to the Pomona Police Department. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. It is not believe the intoxication played a role, according to the Pomona Police Department. A vehicle described as a burgundy Grand Caravan likely struck the pedestrian around 3:33 a.m. The van was stopped in the right shoulder with a shattered front windshield, according to CHP traffic logs. A body covered in a black jacket was seen laying near the center divider. The stabbing occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Mission Boulevard. The shooting occurred in the area of Gary Avenue and Alvarado Street around 9 p.m. after dispatchers received calls of a victim having been shot multiple times. The victim weld up in a hospital and was treated, but later died, according to the Pomona Police Department. “During the investigation, witnesses were interviewed and a suspect was arrested. The investigation is on-going to determine the motive, corroborate statements, and gather evidence,” according to the Pomona Police Department in a written statement.
