Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor POMONA - Detectives are still investigating a mass shooting from Friday night in which six people were wounded and one of the victims died.
The shooting took place in the 1500 block of East First Street. First responders were sent to the location at 10:45 p.m. September 22. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics transported all six victims to a hospital. Three of the victims were treated and released. One victim was last listed in stable condition. A victim in critical condition passed away Saturday morning, according to the Pomona Police Department. It is unclear if investigators have determined a motive, or have identified any suspects. Officers were called to the 1200 block of South Thomas Street around 4:08 a.m. September 9 to assist firefighters. Two gunshot victims were located. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics had already pronounced both men dead, according to the Pomona Police Department. It is unclear if investigators with the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has identified any suspects.
