Khailyn Garcia Sanchez, 23, was struck in the area of Garey Avenue and Center Street January 1. First responders were called around 1:37 a.m., according to the Pomona Police Department. Sanchez was hospitalized and later died. She leaves behind a baby and her boyfriend. The traffic collision occurred at Towne Avenue and Philadelphia Street around 11:13 p.m. Friday, November 17. First responders located an unresponsive driver. The driver was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters and taken to a hospital where he later died, according to the Pomona Police Department. First responders were sent to Reservoir Street and Olive Street at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 19. A woman in her 30s was found down on Reservoir Street and severely injured. Firefighter paramedics attempted to save her, but she was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Pomona Police Department. POMONA - The suspect wanted in a horrific collision that killed two adults and injured another sought treatment at a Montclair hospital. The suspect’s name is not yet publicly available, pending medical clearance and booking, according to Aly Mejia, spokeswoman for the Pomona Police Department. A 50-60-year-old woman who survived the crash was critically injured. First responders were sent to Garey Avenue between Harrison Avenue and East Bonita Avenue around 8:45 p.m. May 28, according to the Pomona Police Department. An SUV carrying the three victims overturned, trapping them all. A sedan involved in the crash ended up hitting a tree. A resident told Fox 11 that a man fled with a duffle bag or backpack from the crashed sedan and is believed to have caused the fatal crash. The resident followed the man to an apartment complex on Garey Avenue, but lost sight of him after the man exited the apartment complex. Investigators have yet to provide a suspect description and it is unclear if a description was provided by any witnesses. First responders were sent to Mission Boulevard and East End Avenue March 22, around 5:37 a.m. and found the bicyclist severely wounded. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics treated the man who later died at the scene. It is believed the bicycle list was attempting to cross East End Avenue when he was hit, according to the Pomona Police Department. The bicyclist was J. Guadalupe Perez-Nunez, 71. The bicyclist was hospitalized and remains in stable condition. Officers responded to Towne Avenue near Bangor Street around 10:50 p.m. September 27, according to Lt. Brian Hagerty of the Pomona Police Department. There was no evidence at the scene to help officers identify the make and model of the vehicle that fled the scene, Hagerty told SGV CityWatch. The Pomona Police Traffic Bureau is investigating and is looking for any surveillance video that can help identify the driver and vehicle.
