Victim with Stab Wounds Found Dead in Pomona Alley

POMONA - Detectives are determining a motive after a man was found dead in an alleyway early Tuesday morning.

First responders were sent to a report of a person down in an alleyway behind the 700 block of Hawthorne Place just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21. The victim was suffering from several stab wounds and he was declared dead at the scene, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Homicide investigators from the Pomona Police Major Crimes Unit are investigating.

POMONA - One driver died, another escaped on foot after a collision late Friday night.

The traffic collision occurred at Towne Avenue and Philadelphia Street around 11:13 p.m. Friday, November 17. First responders located an unresponsive driver. The driver was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters and taken to a hospital where he later died, according to the Pomona Police Department.

The other driver fled the scene on foot, and was not located, according to the Pomona Police Department.

The Pomona Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating. Anyone who can help identify the hit and run driver is urged to call the Pomona Police Traffic Services Bureau at 909-802-7721.
