The collision occurred around 8:22 p.m. at Mission Boulevard and Dudley Street October 6. The unidentified woman walked out into traffic lanes for unknown reasons and was struck, according to the Pomona Police Department. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Intoxicated driving is not a factor, according to the Pomona Police Department. POMONA - One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said. All westbound I-10 freeway lanes just west of Kellogg Drive remain closed, with traffic being diverted off to the 57 freeway. The collision was first reported to the CHP around 4:47 a.m. September 19, according to CHP traffic logs. At least two vehicles, both with no descriptions, collided. One came to a stop in the No. 2 lane of the westbound I-10 freeway, another came to a stop on the right shoulder. Officers with the police department for California State Polytechnic University, Pomona also arrived on scene after the crash to help redirect traffic on the freeway until the CHP could arrive to take over the closure. The body was discovered near the Holt Avenue off ramp from the north 71 freeway. The person, described as possibly a white male in his 30s, may have been the victim of a rollover crash that occurred last night, according to the California Highway Patrol. A two-hour Sig Alert was issued for the off ramp. It was not immediately clear how far along the ramp from surface streets the body was found. The collision happened along Arrow Highway at La Verne Avenue around 9:39 p.m. Two vehicles collided and one driver was found unresponsive when officers arrived. She was transported to a nearby hospital, but died from her injuries, according to the Pomona Police Department. The woman was only described as being in her 50s. CHP officers responded to the crash and shooting around 11:58 p.m. July 25. There are reports that I suspect was taken into custody. CHP officer Patrick Kimball said that a person of interest was detained at 12:29 AM but he could not confirm if anyone was taken into custody, either by CHP officers, or Pomona Police officers. All westbound lanes remain closed at this hour as the investigation continues. And the collision occurred around 11:09 p.m. at the intersection of Gary Avenue and Arrow Highway, July 16. These were also told of a gunshot victim, but when they arrive they found both a man and a woman inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Pomona Police Department. Despite life-saving efforts, the man, only described as a walnut resident, died at the scene. The woman was hospitalized, treated and released. The two other people involved in the collision refused medical treatment, according to the Pomona Police Department. Pomona Police Major Crimes Unit detectives believe that the gunfire came from outside of the victims vehicle. There was no suspect information at this time. The No. 3 and 4 lanes have reopened. The HOV and No. 1 and 2 lanes will remain closed, according to the California Highway Patrol. At least two vehicles, possibly two more, are involved in the collision, which was reported around 8:37 p.m. A Honda CR-V was involved in the collision. It is unclear how the collision occurred. One witness account stated that the CR-V may have been disabled on the shoulder and another vehicle crashed into it. Another account indicated that one of the vehicles involved in the crash may have been driving in opposing lanes of traffic, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The Los Angeles County Fire Department is on scene, but it is unclear how many injuries resulted from the crash. A motorcyclist later died from wounds sustained in the collision at South Campus Drive and West Temple Avenue, according to Sgt. Jonathan Edson of the Pomona Police Department. The collision was dispatched to Los Angeles County firefighters at 7:52 p.m. April 26. Edson had no other details regarding the crash. “Our traffic unit is on their way out there,” Edson told SGV CityWatch. The northbound and southbound lanes of South Campus Drive are closed between West Temple Avenue and Kellogg Drive, according to the Pomona Police Department in a written statement. Jerry Cole Jr., 53, was identified by Sarah Ardalani, public information officer with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Cole died from blunt force traumatic injuries. The death was accidental. Cole was listed as a San Dimas resident. Cole reportedly was westbound in eastbound lanes of Arrow Highway west of Garey Avenue April 16 when he crashed into another occupied vehicle being driven east. The crash occurred just after 3:30 p.m., according to the Pomona Police Department. Cole died at the scene. The eastbound driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. It is unclear if investigators with the Pomona Police Major Accident Investigation Team have determined why Cole was driving in opposing lanes. The coroner report listing Cole's death did not provide details on other causes, such as intoxication, or possible medical conditions.
