The No. 3 and 4 lanes have reopened. The HOV and No. 1 and 2 lanes will remain closed, according to the California Highway Patrol. At least two vehicles, possibly two more, are involved in the collision, which was reported around 8:37 p.m. A Honda CR-V was involved in the collision. It is unclear how the collision occurred. One witness account stated that the CR-V may have been disabled on the shoulder and another vehicle crashed into it. Another account indicated that one of the vehicles involved in the crash may have been driving in opposing lanes of traffic, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The Los Angeles County Fire Department is on scene, but it is unclear how many injuries resulted from the crash. A motorcyclist later died from wounds sustained in the collision at South Campus Drive and West Temple Avenue, according to Sgt. Jonathan Edson of the Pomona Police Department. The collision was dispatched to Los Angeles County firefighters at 7:52 p.m. April 26. Edson had no other details regarding the crash. “Our traffic unit is on their way out there,” Edson told SGV CityWatch. The northbound and southbound lanes of South Campus Drive are closed between West Temple Avenue and Kellogg Drive, according to the Pomona Police Department in a written statement. The crash occurred on the westbound I-10 freeway just east of the 71 freeway January 24. The driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu crashed into the rear of a 2018 Honda Accord disabled in the No. 4 lane, according to the CHP. Three people standing outside the Accord were struck by the disabled vehicle. The South Gate man, 41, died at the scene.
The two other people, a 39-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, were taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. The damaged Malibu was then struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, the 32-year-old driver of which was hospitalized with back injuries, the CHP said. ”The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu fled the scene prior to the CHP arrival,'' according to the CHP in a written statement. Investigators believe the publicly-unidentified rider collided with a white Chevy Avalanche as it turned left into the motorcycle. The Avalanche and driver remain at-large, according to the Pomona Police Department. The collision was discovered by a Pomona police officer around 8:09 p.m. December 20 in northbound lanes of Gary Avenue at Pearl Street. The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. at Mission Boulevard and Phillips Drive Tuesday. The rider was declared dead at the scene after paramedics arrived, according to the Pomona Police Department. POMONA - A female jumped to her death onto the westbound 60 freeway from the Phillips Ranch Road overpass Thursday morning, a CHP officer said. The first report of a jumper was made at 7:44 a.m. The unidentified female apparently jumped before officers arrived, according to Officer Moises Marroquin of the California Highway Patrol Traffic Management Center. The No. 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the westbound 60 at Phillips Ranch are blocked for an unknown duration, in addition to the northbound Phillips Ranch on ramp to the west 60 freeway, Marroquin told SGV CityWatch. A full brush response was sent to the fire, but the quick work of the initial firefighters to arrive kept flames from spreading, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The California Highway Patrol has shut down the on ramp to the north 57 freeway at Temple Avenue. The fire is burning near the right shoulder. A passerby on the freeway apparently pulled over to extinguish the flames when the fire first started, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. Firefighters will be checking for any damage to structures above on the hillside, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A man and woman were struck by at least one vehicle described as a grey BMW, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 11:25 p.m. April 11. The collision occurred on Park Avenue north of Pearl Street around 5:11 p.m. December 5. Officers and Los Angeles County Firefighters rendered aid at the scene before the rider was hospitalized, Pomona Police said. The rider was identified by Pomona Police as 35-year-old McKenzie Story, a Pomona resident. He was last listed in critical condition. The driver, Sergio Galvan, remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers. Investigators determined he was not intoxicated while driving, Pomona Police said.
