POMONA - Police will patrol city streets this weekend and search for drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Patrols will take place in areas with high frequencies of DUI collisions and DUI arrests, according to the Pomona Police Department.
In 2018, Pomona police investigated 127 DUI collisions. One person was killed and 49 people were injured, Pomona Police said.
Funding for this DUI operation is provided to the Pomona Police Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
